The dFold website server is "down" for a protein change. That last one didn't take very long.

I'm keeping my processor busy.

Hmm, time for distributed tarring, so that it doesn't take forever to compress files

Hopefully the change will go well, because I'm not babysitting my computers for every change

No kidding. This is quite awkward. Time for the processors to go do something else for a little bit. I was wondering what would happen during the protein change.

Be sure to check the readme file on how to setup for unattended auto update. In the meantime maybe consider running ubero or SETI or something. I would say chip in on folding@home, but that is a "several hour" committment at the minimum for your work to do any good and get credit.

Actually, it's the old one.
They had technical difficulties, so it's being updated tomorrow.

The current protein still works.
You might want to crunch hard now, cuz when the new one hits, it's going to be much slower.

Aw, come on and be honest about it. You just couldn't stand to see me ahead of you in F@H. Well bring it on. Lets see what those 'puters of yours can do in 24 hours.

Is is really going to be slower? Or is it just going to run longer, until they get 10 billion folds instead of 1 billion?

Ok I be honest, I could throw every cruncher I have on folding@home for a week and still not catch up with you or Scoottheking. By the end of the week next week I hope to be crunching near 7 million structures a week on the dfold project. Sound likes the numbers will be smaller than that.
I'm actually going after the person that was giving you a hard time last week on the Dfold project.

Just by looking a the client, I think I can tell why it's slower. There are 76 parts to a residue, and there were only 36 before. That means that each structure will be about twice as detailed, but also take about twice as long. Oh well, it still is very fast to complete a unit compared to SETI or F@H!

Holy Cow! That'll take a long time to get pushed off the leaderboard. Both you and our team will be up there for a while.
