I just finished running the SETI ranks code, and have to upload now. New people have joined, and they bring gifts. Just under 44K between them, that pushes us ahead of Team Mac Observer, Nordlichter (which some may remember us jousting with a long time ago), and the Dutch Power Cows.

Perhaps the Dogs taunted us too soon, they have dropped from 14 days away to 54 days away, and that is before our new crunch rate is established. (which will take a day or three)

... now, gotta go upload the new tables.

Just joined "I think" - I got no confirmation or anything,

but I just digested my first unit of SETI data. Took the poor old iMac DV 400, about 29 hours.... What do they put in those alien units from Arecibo - rubber dog biscuits?

You can probably do better. My old iMac 400 would do a SETI unit in about 19 to 20. If you run it as a screensaver, make certain you blank the screen after 1 minute. If running as an application, keep the window collapsed (minimized with window shade). If running under OS-X use the CLI client or minimize it to the dock.
