Since everyone likes to compete, we should keep track of our # of posts on the team stats page. I know that sounds really dumb, and it's probably not worth the work, but I thought I should mention my idea anyways.

I got the idea when I saw that Shaktai has almost the same # of posts as I do, but i started over a year before him! And that Scott and I started at about the same time, but he as 3x the # of posts as I do!

Just kidding here Ski, but have you ever though you might be a litte slow?
Then again you might be a really deep thinker that make really intelligent statements when you speak.
Naw, must be the slow thing, 'cause your always behind me.

Hmm... I don't like this idea. It encourages mindless posting. People should gain respect from the quality of their posts... not the quantity. Having a post count competition encourages people to post anywhere and everywhere, just to get their post count to rise.

Remember omac in the lounge? 500 posts in less than a month. It was horrible, you should have seen the topics he was creating.

Why would we dothis? We already have a post count right at the side ofany window.

AI discontinued use of post counts at the beginning because people would post to post instead of to arghue or share infro.

I forgot about the concept of quality over quantity. I guess that such a thing would encourage mindless posting.

JB, you got it right the 2nd time. I rarely ever post a one or two line response. Pretty much everytime I add my two cents to the conversation. Sometimes I add a whole dollar!

BTW CDHostage, wouldn't it be a little bit interesting too see more than just the total number of posts. Wouldn't it be a little interesting to see your, or other's, posts/day or /week. Or to see when someone, ie Shakai, would pass you.

My argument still applies.

We do not have stats history in this category.

It might be interesting to look at a graph over time though.

I think it's not needed.. you can already see individual's post numbers rise. I *suppose* if you cared you could write all ours down, but I don't think this is something that needs official attention.

Seems like it was indeed a bad idea. I just thought that it might be cool to see some stats on posts, other than the total number.

That's okay. I wasn't planning to compete with you for the most posts anyway.

I'll have to get some more computers and post twice or thrice at once!
