I agree it is sneaky. You don't think they want the people looking for the Folding@home site to get snagged into there web do you?
Can't blame them for trying.

I think this is just the beginning and a small example of what we will be seeing in the future as more and more organizations compete for our cpu cycles.

Public DC is going to make someone rich someday. Something tells me that that someone won't be me.

Cheers!

Technically Distributed Folding is in the business of folding at home. They're not doing folding @ home.

But that is sneaky. But then again F@H should have taken the domain "www.foldingathome.com" before anyone else could.

Hmm. Well, F@H should have jumped at getting the .com as soon as it could. I don't know if that justifies dFold's action here.
Actual conversation between UCLA and Stanford during a login on early Internet - U: I'm going to type an L! Did you get an L? S: I got one-one-four. L! U:Did you get the O? S: One-one-seven. U: <types G> S: The computer just crashed.

The call to turn processing power to F@H is out!

We only produced a measley ~150 points yesterday (compared to an average in the past few weeks around 200+). Start processing!!!

How did it come to this? Goodbye PowerPC. | sensory output

It is kinda sneaky, they may actually get flack for it. But hey, F@H was asleep at the wheel, what are you gonna do?

Worse comes to worse there is a lawsuit and they have to give up the domain name, and since it is folding at home... I could see thier side of it.

This domain was registered Saturday July 22, 2000 by C. Hogue Consulting. They are based out of Canada and have also had distributedfolding.org registered at that same time. Lets all take a chill-pill
, relax a while, take a deep breath, and focus back on building our dFold numbers up past 11mil.

No need for a chill pill. It is just a point of topic.
Been there done it on the 11 Mil thanks to your kind words.
Just waiting for you all to catch up while I help the folding @ home project.

Carry on.
