Is there any way to move seti units from one account to another? I would like to combine several accounts of ex employees with dead email accounts into one. All have been inactive for 1.5+ years. I have all the passwords etc. Can someone give units to another?

btw, I've just joined tean macnn with 4 active accounts.

Thanks
CB

Unfortunately no. Info about it at http://setiathome.ssl.berkeley.edu/b...d&num=4573

I didn't know that SETI had it's own message board until I went to their site to research this.

Welcome aboard.

I have seen an account merger happen in the stats. "Data" did one over on Team Picard, though he seems to have since moved to another team. Several accounts vanished overnight, and the remaining one jumped a huge amount.

But I have no idea how it was worked, there is no obvious way in your user profile, or in the team functions. Perhaps you need to be good friends with someone at Berkeley.

It's gotta be possible somehow. It's just data stored in files, right? Why not shoot an email to someone at SETI, and see what they can do. I've sent emails to David Anderson before, and he responded quickly.

Hack it!

And give yourself an extra million units while you're at it.
Actual conversation between UCLA and Stanford during a login on early Internet - U: I'm going to type an L! Did you get an L? S: I got one-one-four. L! U:Did you get the O? S: One-one-seven. U: <types G> S: The computer just crashed.

Somehow, I don't think the other thousands of people we compete with would like that very much.

How about starting a new team with your username as the team name. Then just add all the other accounts to that team name. Finally, make that team a member of Team MacNN.

Don't know if it will work but sounds like it should. Keep us posted.

Later...

Hmmm... Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure you can't make one team a member of another team.

Sorry Microns, but that can't work. You can't make one team a member of another, the hierarchy just doesn't work that way.

BTW I'm sorry but your sig it too big for this forum. The current size limit is 140x40 pixels and 10K. There's info about that posted in the "Pictures" section of the Team site. That limit was set cause a while back some people had huge pictures in their sig, and the forum pages just took too long to download.
