Team MacNN is now #52 overall in D2OL, just 29 spots behind Team Eagles. In daily and weekly average production you are #7, just one spot behind Ars Tech Team Frozen Yogurt, and only two spots behind Team Eagles. All that with only three people. - Keep Crunching.

This may be a naive question, but what the heck is D2OL? I've never heard that acronym before...

Drug Design Optimization Laboratory. It is a project that is seeking to find treatments/cures for potential bioterrorism agents such as anthrax, ebola and smallpox currently, but may expand to others as well. Originally it was a "Windows" only project, but recently they added Linux and Mac OX-X clients which outperform Windows by a considerable margin.

Great, I just registered and joined Team Macnn. Are there any known optimizations for it? Also, is there going to be a page for it at team.macnn.com?

No optimizations for D2OL at this time.

No page will be started for it at Team MacNN.

We told Reader50 and Scotttheking we didn't need pages as they are working to hard the way it is.

Glad you decided to join. Always great to have another good person on board.

If our members remain interested in this (or any other project) there will presently be Team pages and stats support.

At the moment, my (temporarily limited) free time is going to the new stats design. Currently used on dFold beta pages, but the codebase is designed to be project-independent. Once complete, it will easily extend to additional projects, more so than our current code.

The backend code needs a little more work and some optimization tweaking, after which we get Ranks and a few other odd details. Once those are debugged, we get stats on the other current projects, plus a news publisher that multiple people can use.

And then, we can have more project pages, and fresh competitions.

I said I would put up an unofficial rudimentary site for Team MacNN D2OL beings as I was the team founder. I have it up at http://macdude22.tripod.com/macnn. I am looking to get some webspace that doesnt have ads, i might possibly have some aquired at my campus. Its been a while in the making but I have been way busy working 50 hours a week at my new job at resnet on campus. I am all for suggestions, comments, help, anything on the site. I didn't bother looking at it yet, but you can always just write up the content for an official page, and we'll (well, reader50) will add it to the main team site.

sounds cool, i think this is a very good opportunity for macnn, plus it computes for a good cause. and my imac 800 is going 24/7 for the cause

Team MacNN has jumped from #35 overall to #14, and is currently #8 in daily production, soon to be #6. Team Eagles is no more in D2OL.

I have put all my non computer resources into my photography these days, including a website and forum dedicated to the Nikon 5700 at http://www.eagles-nest.org/teameagle/

Indeed, and the competition has just gotten a shock. BTW macdude, you need to change the team URL to point to http://team.macnn.com since your tripod site link no longer works.
