Anyone know how to hide the DF client (other than command line options) on WinME machines? I can run in quiet mode but that leaves the command window up and I don't want that. Also, is it possible to autostart the client on boot up for WinME as well?

Something tells me thats not an option.

Actually, I would like to know the same thing. There are other times I would like to do this type of thing on 9x machines.

I could add 8.4GHz of Tbird to DF if that question can be answered.
It may be possible, and one of my tbirds happens to be at home for the weekend (I'm rebuilding them one by one), so if I have time I'll try mucking with some stuff. I can set it up in win2k easily enough though
Too bad these systems will be win98 for the next 4 years, probably.

Just read <a href="http://forums.macnn.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=25;t=000747" target="_blank">this topic</a> from a while back. The software works, but it has some stability issues. I haven't tried it myself, so you're on your own.

I just threw caution to the wind and tried it on one machine. So far so good. I didn't try doing anything with the registry though. Just did the shortcut to the StartUp folder.

I spoke a little too soon. It works okay but when the computer is shutdown or restarted a dialog box comes up saying that the client is still running and do you want to quit. Then there's a longish wait for another dialog to come up saying the process was not responding do you want to end task. Not good especially with boxes that are shutdown/restarted all the time. I'm trying to be discreet so this doesn't quite work for me.
