what goes around comes around I guess.

When I left this team I didn't sweat it at all, even though I was in first place with 3000 units. But today team lambchop lost its first place member, who left with 80k units as well as his 3 other accounts with 30k, 30k, and 6k. Ouch ouch ouch. And this was going to be a good week too, with me hitting 10k and us passing Art Bell yesterday. But now we are even with Intel again.

The reason he left? Not enough mention of the team on the site's front page. Dunno if team members here would get ticked if there was never a mention of it on the macnn front page (have hardly seen any, and I read it every day), but you might want to keep it in mind. Front page mention keeps members happy and draws in new members every time.

You should try to swing a mention when you break top 200.

We have a link to SETI@MacNN on the main page... we mention it whenever we can (i.e., when SETI-related news items exist)... perhaps we'll mention it when we break the top 200.

Why not come back?

Hey OoklaTheMok, I joined at the time you left Team MacNN. So our paths never crossed. But, I emailed MacNN and along with the interest of other ppl, we put a link to Team MacNN on the front page of MacNN.

Anyways, I see that you're from Ohio from your profile on that HUGE 1000+ thread for ARS. You're not that far away from me. So I do follow other teams interest like KWSN and ARS. I may not respond but I kinda like reading the swagger that ppl use on the ARS board. Hehe

That sucks that those members (guru and the other 2) I believe that's his name left ARS team. I was routing for you guy to knock off that damn Art Bell team. For heavens sake, they have over 12k members.

keep on crunching,

Brock
