just a thought... you guys ever heard of Linux PPC? It's for mac chips...

also... what the heck is with this deleting? we are seriously trying to post helpful criticism and you're deleting it!!! you're acting like the microsoft software engineers! how can you truly adapt to real-world responses unless your product (the forum) is open to the world (like *nix)

What that other joker was posting was neither criticism nor helpful, and certainly was not a response worth hearing, regardless of it "real-world" value.

Speaking for myself, I have two jobs plus college classes. I don't have time to learn Linux well enough to be functional. I may be forced to learn it in some of my upcoming classes, but I'll leave it alone for now.

Mac OS X is scheduled for release next summer. It is underpinned by Unix. I may dabble in it then, but probably not before it.
