Did anyone know how to increase the RAM allocated to SETI? There is no memory adjustment available via the Get Info window. Is this possibly related to the lack of benefit from 1MB L2 caches vs 512KB L2s?

There is a utilty to do that called Reaper (sry no link).
But it made no difference before so I ditched it.
Also if you look with Memory mapper or PeekaBoo it seems the Seti
doesn't use all the memory it is allocated by default anyway
(something like 4/5 MB free).

Good luck

Since SETI is a control panel you can set its size in the SIZE resurce using ResEdit. I have no clue wether this will make it speed up, but the 'min' size seems a bit small, though.
