this is making me very angry. i have crunched my 295th unit, and everytime try to upload, it says "Can't connect to server; will try again. (Error -260%" and this cycle repeats itself, meanwhile my crunch time is falling way behind...

Yano... post more details on the trouble... machine details(processor/speed/upgraded?/RAM), OS(7/8/9/X), Type of connection(dial-up , DSL, cable)
Check your settings for TCP/IP, sometimes mine get scrambled... can you connect to internet OK? I realize you posted but maybe that was on another mac? I have had no trouble connecting with SETI except for Monday mornings and up/downloading units on 3.0 other than the units are so slow now, it's making me cry. BTW, one Mac(8500) is connected direct thru DSL, the G4 crunches thru SUM and I manually connect it to the 'Net every couple of days to up/download cached units.

no troubles here.

I am sorry to hear about your troubles, but at least it'll give me a few more hours b4 u pass me. You're about 5 wu's behind me, so you'll prolly pass me pretty soon.

Has anyone else that's still active fallen farther than i have? I started in 16th or 17th, and now i'm in 104th. Pathetic.

Ok posters time to let them have it. MacNN Staff It's our duty to let MacNN know we hate intelliTXT!

Same here, started close to the top5, now can't stay in the top 25, pathetic too and with 3 computers furthermore...

Well it is good for the team to have these heavy crunchers...
So let's go get the 50th place and 100th overall.

When I joined, I was in the top 50 with 47 WU's, now I have 560 WU's and hold the 59'th island with this team so far. Seti 3.0 connects just fine for me so far and I have a cable modem. Back in the old days with the dial-up, sometimes I found that you just had to quit seti and re-launch it and re-connect no matter how many sites you could surf, it seemed as though seti needed to be 'reset'.

But even with the new science added, I would find it hard to believe they modified the already proven connection method.
