only reason i ask, is that my stupid university has a bandwidth limit, and i dont want to run it up, and lose my ethernet connect for the year.

i only have a g3 233, so its not the fastest machine out there, but could someone fill me in?

hello austeros, Seti@home's work unit is about 340-350k big. This will take awhile for your machine to process, so I don't think that it will be much of an issue. Im not sure on the speed of a G3/233, with version 3.03, but it'll prolly be once per day that you'll need a work unit.

The results you send back are only little text files on what your computer has done. So the upload is very minimal.

We'd really like your help if you could spare that G3.
