Well now; I have gained an new ibook (top of the line). I walked into Circuit City and it followed me out the door, honest It is running dnetc now.

Now for the losses. My 7200 that was at my friends house was hit by lighting a couple of weeks ago and it killed the usb modem and hosed the hard drive; it did have a belkin surge protector but it wasn't enough. That machine was my only seti machine and I won't run seti anymore.

My B&W G4 550 has been moved to his house (with two surge protectors). It ran dnetc at my place nearly 16 hours a day. (averaged 4.89 keys/sec.
He broke his leg and had nothing to do all day, so I took him my machine and bought this ibook.

I stopped running SETI when they changed that darn program, and I could not longer process a work unit in under 6 hours (this was about a little over a year ago).....I just don't want to ruin my beautiful average.

I have a machine that crunches units in 6.5 hrs.
They made the program take longer, but don't forget that comps got much faster to compensate for it.
