Hi everyone,

I'm from Team OcUK, a fellow SETI@Home Team make up of Overclockers from the UK (and elsewhere now). One of the little customs we have developed amongst our team is to warn other team members before we pass them (stomp them) in our team league. Over the past few months we have decided to extend this curtacy to our fellow teams.

Our contact with other teams has resulted in our making lots of new friends in the SETI community (as well as a few grumpy enemies). Our recent announcement of intent to pass DSL Reports resulted in their putting in extra effort to stay ahead. There are now a few DSL team members who post on our boards and exchange SETI hints and tips with our team.

Please feel free to come and visit us on our BBS and join in the fun.

Regards.

Matt

I heard team DSLR stomped you guys by getting 100000 units to your 30000. Oh well time for team MacNN to do it to you as well.

Just a temporary setback, sir. Their Stomp has been postponed for a later date. May our Mighty Fine team offer their best wishes to you all and we wish you well in the battle that lies ahead. The Warcry has been sounded and the H ppy Stomper Troopship set on course for your location, sir. Our troops are armed and dangerous with Phasers set to Stun+1 in readiness for the forthcoming engagement. Boarding parties are on standby and ready to infiltrate your base. None of our troops are allowed to p!mp your members, sir, since this goes against our policy. Good luck to our fellow rivals and may the battle be a tough one.

I don't know too much about "P!mpin", but does Team MacNN do much to publicize / encourage further Forum members to join the team?

Even if we're not about to find another Daniel Hazard, we could use a couple hundred more that would crunch a couple WUs/day!

Since Team MacNN is a club *related to* MacNN.com, we can't get the full publication and encouragement of the MacNN management. They are a business and (sadly) will not put a plug to join unless there is noteworthy SETI news from Berkeley.

Members of Team OcUK, we welcome *friendly* jibes and helpful tips, but try to keep it moderate and clean...we're Mac users remember? Also, it is our unwritten rule not to flood opposing teams' boards, so don't expect much excitement from us. <Brief History Tidbit> Our founder/moderator left after a conflict with another team. </Brief History Tidbit>

Its certainly my intent to keep things on a friendly basis but beware of rouge postings from those who wish to remain anonymous. There was an Agent Provocatuer by the name of YankFragger stirring things up when we first threw down a challenge to DSLr.

I don't recognise the name UnionJack and wish to disassociate from this person straight away.

A friendly challenge is all this is, but down to those good old scores on the doors once again :-

PS: I even have a Mac amongst my seti machines, Its had six months of 24/7 crunching without any major incidents but its going to crunch till it drops for OcUK.

Wow, you two teams seem very well matched!

57  (57) 0 Team MacNN 229056 229045 430 557 555 3 3/12/01 56 245779
58  (59) 1 OcUK - Overclockers UK 225098 225047 1029 340 556 3 60 235300

MacNN has the much better current 14-day average though. Let's see what happens.

If I didn't like it so much on TLC I'd give you a hand...

As you can see from the graph we have a higher output per day, we had a bit of a mutiny a week or so ago (just before we would have passed MacNN).

Come on MaccNN, show a bit of fight

[edit]
Oh sod it, I cant get the graphs to work. Check out www.setistats.de
