RC5 is an effort to break RSA Lab's RC5-64 code challenge. There is a reward. You can find details on the Team site, here and here.

Until the morning of Jan 1, 2002, we are locked in an RC5 race with Phlump of Ars, a very heavy cruncher on another team. Unfortunately, we're getting our butts kicked, he's cleaning up. It looks like we would need a real supercomputer or 3 to win in the couple of days left, there is an 800,000+ gap in his favor.

Should you remain on Seti, that will help as well. We have been slipping on Seti, with other teams passing or threatening to pass. Check it out here.

Regardless of what you do, welcome to Team MacNN.

Welcome to the team.

Regarding RC5, the race will be ending in a day, so, due to the way joining works, it probably isn't worth it to crunch RC5.
Also, as reader pointed out above, we really need power on SETI to prevent our team from being passed, so your SETI power is more then welcome.
