... and a preview of a Personal Stats feature. I just got some new pages done for tracking the Ubero Top 100, since a number of us are on it. Obviously not myself of course.

You can check it out here.
For the Personal Stats preview, pick someone of interest and click on their Rank number. This is code I just got running, so glitches would not be surprising. But it should work ok.

Some feedback please, does anyone actually check our stats pages? I've been meaning to set up hit counters on the server, but that is one of the many things I have yet to do...

I would estimate our stats code currently to be in the 20,000-line range. Are the results cool enough yet, or should I just get a life?

Way cool, but how fresh is the data? Do you glean it off of Ubero on request, or do you put it into a database every hour?

The attack standings are great. It's nice that I won't have to estimate my progress in what is left of my brain.

BTW, you can also get a life and start your Ubero Agent(s)

Way cool.

Nope, your life has been revoked

That is neat though. It shows that I'm the #5 producer in the project, but I highly doubt I can get to #1 ever.
Have fun
I get the Ti back tomorrow

I like that stats pages! Especially the "Rank" page and what you've done with the Ubero top 100.

When it comes down to the number of work units I have completed, I usually check Ubero's, Seti's, or Dnet's site... but when I'm looking for any info they don't have (like the "Rank" page), the Team's site is where to go.

Thanks for all of the hard work you've put into it!

Most of our data updates once per day. The Totals list (and current Quick Stats) for Seti and Ubero are exceptions, they update every 15-30 minutes. Yes, I notice that you just missed getting listed.

The daily pages update in the morning PST usually (RC5 is sometimes delayed when dnetc stats are down). Seti Ranks and pages I'm working on (like Top 100) update in the evenings because I don't have the time in the morning. Once Top 100 seems solid, it will move to morning updates too.

Also, once all the stats are solid, some stats will update more then once per day.
Personal stats will probably be created on demand, but those are a long time away.

More new stats pages, I'm roughing in RC5 Personals. Not linked at the moment, and the page graphics are not created yet, but check it out:

Scott, rank 3

Cipher13, rank 73

reader50, rank 134

Use the Rank numbers to page up and down as needed, only 51 are shown at a time (25 above, 25 below). Or, modify the URL. The number on the end is the RC5 member number.

Hopefully, all projects will have this before too much longer, with finished graphics and linked pages. Enjoy

It's done.

team.macnn.com/seti/personal.phtml

team.macnn.com/rc5/personal.phtml

team.macnn.com/ubero/personal.phtml

The site map caught up too. I'll write up the News later on, but for now everything is linked up and working.

Excellent job with the personal stats page. Is there any way that we can have an option that creates the same page but compares the person with all crunchers instead of just Team MacNNers?

The site server is down as I write this. All the stats are safe on my box, and I've run the Seti Ranks and Top 100 for today, so there will be no gaps.

If anyone wants to check Seti Ranks, I've posted a copy here:

Basic Seti Ranks

Advanced Seti Ranks

The links on the pages won't work of course, I only put those two pages up.

Considering that there are over 3 million Seti crunchers alone (I'm not sure about RC5 or Ubero), it would not be practical to try and track them all for comparisons. If you want to race someone specific on another team, a competition can likely be set up.

Yeah, I know that that would not be possible. But what about listing the ten people below you and the ten above?

"The 10 below and above you" ... there is actually no such thing in Seti unless you have over 10,000 units. If you check your individual stats on berkeley's page, you will see something like "2,000 people share your current rank" - that means you are tied with 2,000 people. Also, perhaps a quarter of those will change each day.

The number of tied people does drop as you gain more units.

And it is not practical. To get 10 above and 10 below, we would have to latch 20 people for each of our members. On Seti, that would be 15,300 people to custom-grab from Seti's servers. 3,900 on RC5. Ubero would be within reason at 720. All figures would increase over time.

Sorry, can't do it. The next stuff in the pipe is Ubero team Ranks, just as soon as I finish debugging the RC5 team Ranks code.

Oh man, these stats pages are cool!

Makes it easy to calculate just how much I need to split computing power between Ubero and RC5 to maintain respectable stats...

Cheers.

The Top 200 Team Ranks pages are now done for SETI@home and RC5.

SETI Top 200
RC5 Top 200

Both pages note the teams we actually do detailed tracking on. Those are usually about 15 ahead and behind in both Clubs (Seti), and All (Seti & RC5). The info on untracked teams is a little unreliable because the effects of Joins / Departs are not separated out.

There is a lot of information there for anyone interested in really following how the top 200 teams compare over time. Note that the info on the Advanced pages is solid, all teams on those pages are normally tracked in detail.

Isn't it the sad truth? Those stats pages do make me want to get my numbers up... I just wish I could run Ubero on my OS9 boxes...
