Would it be possible to take a CD-Player case, put in an iMac motherboard (therefore no fan necessary), Video In/out card, CDRW/DVD-combo drive and a 40gb HD ??

It thought about it this morning, it would be the Digital Hub Apple always talked about..

- DVD-Player
- CD-burning
- mp3 Jukebox (via iTunes)
- Harddisc-Video-Recorder


All this in a small case, so you can put it on your stereo set, to your TV, whatever.... I think this might be a killer device if Apple could sell it for 500$...

Has anybody an idea, how I could try this by myself ?

i'm sure you can get some ideas for space requirements and junk from the pics (since you have to pay $40 to get the plans to do this).
