I am having Problems moving an Ibook HD to a PowerBook 5300. The Hard drive is 6 gigs, and after it is installed, and on boot up, the Mac shows a Sad Mac icon, with the error numbers relating to compatability issues. Apple in the past used to set certain information on the harddrive that were specific to a certain Mac. I don't know if that is the case, or how to resolve this problem.

Thanks for any ideas.

Not sure exactly what the problem may be, but machines such as the 6100 (PPC601 Nubus) would not boot from drives larger than 2GB.
