Seriously... how the hell did the trackpad get so dirty? You should consider changing your screen name to "super brown" from "superblue."

I wonder if it's possible to do with the Powerbook G4 (rev. A), too. I mean, you'd have to find the wiring diagrams for the LCD (I don't believe they're the same for the G4 and the iBook) and stuff, but I think it would be possible.

Scratching the fiber: you have to scratch it for all the keycaps?

I was looking at the keyboard, and I just discovered little holes on the backside of the keyboard. It would be easy to simply glue the fiber to the back of the keyboard, no?

I'm just throwing ideas out there, so don't attack me, just clarify my ideas. Thanks in advance.

It would take you 5 min to find the correct wires with a voltmeter.

For me its not so much to need to be able to see the letter on the keys but to have them lit so that you can at least see where one key starts and the other ends would help out in completely dark conditions.

You've obviously never worked with powerbook wiring before.

This is like trying to tie a fishing line while wearing boxing gloves.

I found the first two wires, though, and they're the red ones. For anyone interested, the fist one is positive voltage, the second is negative voltage.

(negative, positive )
