Hi folks, I'm looking to try out the register-based overclock of an iBook 700. However, I can't for the life of me find the CHUD 1.1.1 toolset I need. Anybody have any suggestions on where to find it?

Thanks!

I may have CHUD 1.1.1 but I don't think it will work for you.
That version of CHUD won't run or at least not without wreaking havock under more recent versions of OS X.

I performed the HW OC of my iBook 800 this weekend.

iBook 800 resistor table

0= Resistor X=No Resistor

Multiplier.........8.....8.5...9....10

R825................0......X.....0....0
R821................0......0.....X....0
R817................0......0.....0....X
R813................0......0.....0....0
R809................X......X.....X....X

R825 is closest to the CPU and R809 is closest to the RAM slot.

I settled on 850. The HS got VERY hot at 900 and would not boot past the desktop (OS9) or the boot logo (OS X).

I resoldered a few times to remove improper soldering as a variable.

YMMV

This is also posted in this thread in the iBook forum.

This link is also interetsting for overclocking a 700MHZ iBook to 800MHZ via software. Has anyone tried it recently with Panther? Does it work with the new CHUD tools?
