Has anyone toyed with taking one of the super small PC cases on the market and slapping a Mac laptop logic board in the sucker?

You can find the boards easy enough on ebay -- some cheap...some not so cheap. I'm thinking about a G4/500 PB board or a G3/500 board.

It would be an interesting experiment I think...but I don't want to proceed if there is something on the board that would make it impossible.

I think it´s impossible. The Ti-boards are not big but long (the whole width of the base unit), it will not fit.

So the only major problem would be fitting it in a case? If that's the worst thing I can run into then I might just try it out.

So, you want to make a portable out of some compact desktop and a laptop?

Geeks.

Just because you can, doesn't mean you should…

you know the Pismo has an ata 66 bus, you could use a 2.5 to 3.5 adaptor to be able to use a fullsized HD

OHHHH no. I'm talking about taking a logic board from some old G3 powerbook and slapping it into a small PC case.

Reason? Who knows.
