He did it in early '02.

I dunno when they started to die. It probably has something to do with the fact that more and more people are buying newer machines.

Fewer reasons to need to edge out a little more performance, less desire to mar a nice finish, ahh, I dunno. Kinda sucks, though.

is there a way to do the same with my dual 500, but i want to have the same look with both drives from the outside!

I want to add a superdrive to My G4

Don't ask me, open up your machine and see if it will fit. See what's in the way, what you can cut, what you can bend. The 500's have a different motherboard layout so you will probably have to cut the processor heat sink. Although another option is to buy mine! I put mine up on ebay, its time for me to upgrade.
