PC Geforce 4 Ti in a Mac?

I've heard that you can install mac firmware into some PC graphics cards and make them work in a mac. I'm a cheap kind of guy and I want to pick up a Geforce 4 Ti on eBay and flash it to a mac.

My question is can you do this with a Geforce 4 Ti, and if you can, how?

so far it hasn't been successful. the hardware on the card is different, so it's not just a simple ROM flash.
