I have a 1 GHz MDD FW800 Power Mac. I was just wondering if I could by another 1 GHz chip, pop it in, and be done with it. Anyone know if this possible, or plausible?

Thanks, -M

I'm under impression that you will need a CPU-card that has 2 processors, thus you cannot go in the method you mentioned...

No can do.
You need to replace the single processor card with a duallie if you want to go that route.

You can sell the single card to recoup some of your investment as well.

good luck
