ok if you have read about this in the team room im sorry to bore you again.

i have a home iMac that would be perfect for folding 24/7 besides my iBook this would also increase output.
however i have the problem that im not the admin user on the machine and the admin user has set the thing to go to sleep every 3 hours this significantly reduces the use of the machine as i sleep for more than 3hrs a time and will be at school for 7hrs a day next week
so what i need to do is change it to never sleep can i do this admin guy wont let me and is in london (200miles away) 80% of the time
so back to the question is there a way around this

Don't you need the person's permission to crunch? If he doesn't want the computer to be awake 24 hours a day, why would he allow you to crunch on it?

he doesnt want me to crunch on it but:
a)he is my brother so i dont listen to him
b)i dont no how it worked but it didnt install like an application eg adobe ps

Even if he is your brother, the owner of a machine is God for it. You should not, not, not do something that he doesn't want done to it.
