Hi, has anyone of you used MacSkinz already? How is the quality and is it possible to attach and remove a skin several times? Any photos?

I'd like to know how the tape strip works (which attaches the skin to the panel). Is it usable multiple times? (like buying multiple skinz and then choosing one before taking the 'book outside )

Just like my old Powerbook 1400 with it's changeable screen back!

They are small adhesive pads that do not dry and are very sticky. You should be able to replace the MacSkinz dozens of times. We will send new pads to MacSkinz owners if they send us a self addressed stamped envelope. (I need to put this on the site).
Thanks,
Doug

The skiz they made for my G4 fit well and are beautifully painted. I liked their flames pattern but wanted something more subtle for my quicksilver. So they made me some flames in the quicksilver grey colors. I love it.
The little pads of sticky tape have stayed soft enough to remove the cover and put it back on. The skin is painted on the inside so the tape is applied directly to the paint. I've been concerned about this pulling the paint off, but no problems so far.

Doug,
Just a quick question. Does the Apple logo on the iBook show through at all on the printed skinz? I notice it's visible on the solid ones, but from the pictures, it appears to not glow on the skinz with designs.
Thanks

My wife bought one for her new 12" PB. Installed in 5 seconds. Piece of cake. I'm looking at one for mine, now, but I can't decide.

The logo shines through all of our designs but is more intense on the lighter colors. We provide a "blockout sticker" if this isn't wanted.
Thanks,
Doug

Hey Doug, what the heck is that blue piece of plastic (smallish square) that came with my clear Skinz?

I'm sure that it is a sample piece of the same plastic the MacSkinz are made of. We included it so that you could test your paint adhesion/reaction without actually damaging the MacSkinz it self. The blue that you see is a protective coating that can be peeled off.
Thanks,
Doug

Hello, I've been thinking about buying the biohazard one. But I really have one major concern, durability.
I move my iBook around a lot, and when I close it, I put it inside a suitcase designed specially for the 12" iBook. So the suitcase is pretty tight. I'm afraid that one day I'll move it around, grab it and the sticky papers holding it will just break and I'll see my iBook flying in the air. Or simply bumb it between the case and the skin and it will break.
Does anyone have any experience on that side of things? Or any pictures showing how close the skin is fitting on the iBook?
Thanks

Well... for me, I got a powersleeve from radtech that is perfect for holding my iBook whenever I am not using it. Keeps the scratches off and it really look good on my iBook. I have gotten compliments on how HOT it is!
