hi,

im looking for the best DVD Burner for my G4/800. I tried the NEC 1300 and the Sony DRU-510A, but was rather disappointed.
The NEC would only burn 2x and the SONY just 1x. Even after successful simulation (in Toast 5.2.1 or 6) they wont speed up.
So now im interested in your opinion....

The Pioneer 105 is dirt cheap now ($140 US) and burns 4X with Ridata 4X DVD's, 4GB data in 18 minutes via firewire case for me. Its also fully supported in 10.2.6 and Toast 5.2.1.

Just Curious but what firewire case did you use?
