Can you take a sawtooth G4 processor and put it in a beige G3? Or mounting different?

The beige G3 uses a ZIF socket (as does the B&W G3) a G4 uses the"PIF" Socket ( Plenty Insertion Force ) and that one is different to the ZIF (Zero Insertion Force)

Yes you can put sawtooth ZIF socket processor in Beige G3. You may have to change jumper setting to reflect the speed of processor

No, you cannot. The Sawtooth did not use a ZIF processor, it used the daughtercard design. 100% incompatable.
