I have absolutely NO idea what I'm doing! I have space for the drive, but no... "door", I guess. ANY help would be greatly appreciated!

you're going to need to give a little more info, like what machine are you trying to put this DVD-RAM in? do you have an optical drive in there already? are you replacing that drive, or are you adding an additional?

Thanks-
I have a Powermac G4, there is no drive where I am planning on putting the DVD-RAM. On the top is the CD-RW and there is nothing on the bottom. As you can tell, I am really starting from scratch here, as far as what I know!

Unless it's a Mirrored Drive Door PowerMac G4, you're out of luck. Although the older PowerMacs (Graphite and Quicksilver) look as if they have room for two CD drives, only the top bay is large enough to hold a CD drive. The lower bay is only big enough to hold a zip drive or a hard drive.

Thanks for your help- I guess we can just hook it up externally.
Thanks again!
