Is this possible to put a QS G4 800mhz proc into a Sawtooth?

it should be possible but not without some modification... the bus speed settings on the QS processor module are different than the sawtooth, QS is 133 mhz while sawtooth is 100. Changing this requires moving resistors around on the processor board. if your up to the soldering then yes it can be used in a sawtooth.

any notes on how to?

this link is dead (gigabit in sawtooth)-
http://homepage.mac.com/macisaac/New...g4project.html

This does not mention a bus mod, as it's quicksilver->gigabit, though it lists complications-
http://forums.xlr8yourmac.com/action...37&-search

It's apparently possible to increase the bus speed through Open Firmware (search xlr8yourmac), but you'll need faster RAM, and a standard sawtooth module can't take the speed increase without an underclock. if anyone knows of any seating problems or fitting problems with the quicksilver in the sawtooth, I'd like to know.it seems to use a 4 mount-point design.
