so with my car i thort it would be cool to:

put an iBook in for games music and Folding@home

so i need the internet - ok if it is in the drive at home the airport reaches it

BUT

school is about 25 kms from home so what i propse is this:

really boost the power of the airport card in the car - as airport works 2 way this should allow me to pick up eiter internet and be able to use it throughout the region right?

help is very much appreciated

I highly doubt you would be able to provide enough of a boost to pick up a signal 25km away.

Ok so here is the deal. Buy yourself a T610 and install blutooth on the ibook. Next make sure that you have GRPS on your mobile plan. Then use the blutooth connection from the T610 to the ibook blutooth to get internet connection when on the road. You can be anywhere with a GSM connection and have internet this way. I would advise that you get a GRPS plan that includes unlimited access but thats your call.
