I've been trying to put a flashed GeForce 3 in my Sawtooth Gigabit G4 but I'm getting the same flickering image problem most people that have tried this have had. The problem is that the card doesn't draw enough power, which is not surprising since the PSU in the G4 is only about 200W. So I'm thinking about replacing the PSU with a new ATX PSU. However, the only conversion scheme I've been able to find is for pre-gigabit sawtooths (the ones that don't have +28V DC required for the ADC connector).
Has anyone here tried converting an ATX PSU to a Gigabit Sawtooth PSU yet?

sorry but that won't work. It doesn't draw enough power but it's becasue the AGP 2x slot on the gigabit motherboard doesn't provide it. To fix the problem you'll need a motherboard with 4x AGP or one of the few geforce 3s that don't have this problem

In that case, would it be possible to mod the GeForce by cutting the power connectors to the AGP bus and using a molex instead?

I don't think it's been done before... but if your will ing to fry your card and possibly the rest of your computer search for AGP 4x pinout on google make sure you have the right pinout then somehow get the correct volatges to the correct pins. The chances of this working however are slim to none. Might I recomend getting rid of this card and either buying a flashed geforce 3 TI or flashing one yourself as they do not have the flickering problem. A poster called amacapart who frequents the cubeowner forums has great experience with this try talking to him.
