This is 1/2 rumor 1/2 mod.

I was miffed that the G5 iMac was still AIO and the GPU/VRam was sooo lowend, I really liked the (iPod)Colored Cube rumor that was floating about. If it had an AGP slot I'd be in.

It got me to thinking that there is still time for a 25th Anniversary Mac. Maybe, just Maybe, hope of all hope, the Cube rumor was not the iMac, but another G5 Apple was Designing.

Still 90days to get it out and with Dec 25th in range it could be THE GIFT to get this year!!!

Even I don't think Apple would make a new Cube and ship it so soon after the G5 iMac as lots of folks who settled for iMac's would be pissed, But I'm wrong so often even I don't believe me anymore.

PART 2: The Mod!

Ok so I found a G5 1.6 LogicBoard and a PowerSupply! and if we see no Cube before Xmas I'm going to make my own Cube G5.

Does anyone know if the new 1.8G5's CPU will fit and work on a 1.6 LoBO. I think it is the Same LOBO,but they upped the bus and added the 2nd CPU.

Is the Connector the same?

G5 cube would be sweeeet if it was priced right (which now apple seems to be doing fairly well).

If we don't get it good luck with your machine!
