cont... from Painting Powerbooks

Problems
- Looks like they are already anodized so they would have to be sanded down.
- All steel has to be removed, so a total disasembly would have to take place
- Finishing and final appearance.... i am told they would have to be re-finished after ther anodizing.

I would look F*ing rad, but until my AppleCare is up it's not something I can do. So painting or waiting for MacSkinz to come back are the options I am looking at.
I am also looking for top cases that I can test with. If anyone has pricing or access to Apple Parts please let me know.

Does anyone know of any dyes that could be used without taking the PowerBook apart?

I am going to attempt the color Apple logo mod tonight.

Always thought anodizing a G5 PowerMac would be nifty. Once again, total disassembage would cook Applecare...
Curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal!

There is no need as the acid-bath required to anodize the aluminum will take it right off. The acid will also eat some of the material away, but it shouldn't be a problem for a case of that size (might be for precision parts though).
