Pretty tech oriented question, what type of conductive material could I use for increased airport reception in a powerbook? My thought is this: using a very low impedance solder joint connect the existing airport antenna from the antenna board to either a longer length of this xyz antenna material, or if possible use a wire mesh lining the back of the screen. the details of the physical connection to the board and orientation of the material will be a problem to solve on a later date, but my question for now is what material should I use?

Which really this then becomes what material is optimal for antenna reception/transmission at the specific frequency of 802.11b/g?

Cheers
