Hi,

Finally bought a cpu upgrade card, a Sonnet Encore/ST 1.2GHz
Installed it and restarted my G4 DA. Black screen, then this:

DEFAULT CATCH! , code=300 at %SRRO:05660e2bc%SRR1: 00083030

Contact sonnet and ask about a replacement? Not sure what the code means. All I can suggest is first running diagnostics on all your other hardware, check to make sure your firmware is the latest, and ensure that the card was installed properly (though I don't believe sonnet has any jumpers to set). Best to phone up sonnet first with expensive hardware like that.
