Hello, all. I've been toying with the idea of putting a blowhole in the top of my Digital Audio case. I've got a Sonnet fanless 1.4 upgrade, a Radeon 9700, 2 hard drives, and 3 PCI cards, so it literally gets hot enough to bake bread in there. The machine is old, and I want to let it breathe! Anyone here had any experience with this, or know of a site that discusses it? Would it be better to exhaust, or intake from the top in this case? Thanks.

I'd make it an exhaust fan. Hot air rises toward the top of the case. An intake fan would only push it down back into the case and mix it with the room temperature air getting brought in. Better to get it out entirely and allow room temperatue air to flow in through other areas of the case.

Erm.... FYI Zubir, blowhole= exhaust. If it's sucking air in it isn't a blowhole.

You're the one who was asking if it should be an intake or an exhaust fan.... I mean, DUH. What a stupid question.
