I have downloaded and installed the firmware hacks that convert the optical drives in my Macs from region locked to region free. System Profiler shows that the update was successful, as the reported firmware version matches the appropriate region free firmware number.

My problem is that Apple's DVD Player still asks me for a region code. What is the solution to this?
