ok i know this is a little soon to be talkiing about but i just wanted to know what other people thought... here is a link to engadget that says the imac coreduo processors are easy to upgrade http://www.engadget.com/2006/02/02/c...ssor-upgrades/

i know that most people dont like processor upgrade cause the cost doesnt reflect the power increase you will get etc. etc.

my question is can i upgrade my 17" 1.83GHz video card? can i swap out the stock 128 that i got with it for a 256? are we gonna see better than 256?

No, you can't upgrade the video card. The GPU and VRAM are soldered to the logic board, not on their own daughter card.

Why are you trying to provoke G5 owners, mduell? Pretty damn childish, IMO. . .

I had a quip in my sig about Intel iMacs reportedly already being upgraded to faster CPU speeds, while none of Apple's G5 products have CPU upgrades available; Big Mac and Lateralus both appear to be G5 owners.
