my g3 died on me a long time ago and i have a 15" g4 now. for a while ive been thinking of what the hell i can use my dead g3 for, aside from a giant paper weight. i figure i wanted to use the lcd from it as a second monitor on my g4. how would i even start to do this? ive taken the whole thing apart and now its jsut taking up more space than before haha.

thanks
S

ok new question about this. if i were to get an lcd from say a playstation 1, would the lcd panels be interchangable? since the lcd from the ps1 can be used as a second monitor with vga.

As a rule, LCD panels have different pinouts, even from the same manufacturers. There are some which have the same pinouts, but its not well publicised which ones. The odds of two completely different panels bught at random being compatible with the same controller are probably pretty slim.
