I have a Powerbook G4 15" 1.5GHz

Went to crucial.com they recomend DDR PC2700 • CL=2.5 • UNBUFFERED • NON-ECC • DDR333 • 2.5V • 128Meg x 64 to a maximum of 2Gb

I would like to go for the most I can, could anyone tell me if this is a viable upgrade and if it is worth while going for 2Gb

Any other experiences with the memory or crucial.com would be great too

Thanks in advance

Specs look fine at a glance. If you used Crucial's 'search by model' system, it will work fine. 2GB is definitely the max you can have. Whether you need it or not depends on what you do with your Mac. If you use large photo files, lots of video or music work then RAM will help you. The more the merrier. If you are just web browsing, watching films, listening to music and running MS Office for example, then 2GB is probably overkill.

It will definately be faster than with 512. I upgraded from 512 to 1.5gb, and the increase when multitasking or with large files is significant. Be aware though that you're not making the machine any faster, just reducing the number of disk swaps.
