Call me crazy but I wondering if my powerbook can be overclocked. I don't want to do it now, because it will void my warranty and it's my main computer. But I plan to get a MBP later this year anyway and would like to overclock my PB then. I saw this site and it shows how to overclock the Low-res Powerbooks. My PB has a completely different logic board. Does anyone know a site where they show how to overclock HR PBs?

I'm sure you can, but it would be difficult.

I doubt you can. Overlcoking relies on Motherboard capabilites, ussually. THis means that the motherboard has features to change the clocks and voltages; ussually (in the old days) so that you could have greater cpu capability (say that youy have a 400mhz cpu but a 333 board; you can set it to anything.

lomng sotry short it wont OC

If you could figure out which tiny little parts to move, it may be possible. However, they process of overclocking in this way could easily result in a destroyed PB. Even if you did it, pushing the CPU very hard at all could result in overheating, cooking your PB. It would most definitely not be covered under warranty. Don't bother with it.

Somebody sells CPU upgrades for those, but they are quite expensive. My call is: don't bother. Looking at the specs in your sig, the only way to go faster would be a 7200-RPM HDD.
