Well I ended up using the 800DVI's chip as the person with the 500mhz G4 wanted the 800DVI board fully functional as it was and the LCD for his motherboard..... yeah an 800 for a 500 that makes sense.

But the job is done and the 867 works great!!! I am so happy I have it back up and running!! Now just to paint or cover the Ti Book Black.

I will post this is the other thread as well that it worked.

Ok I have talked below about a chip swap. Well today I got offered a 500mhz working motherboard and good battery for the display on the 867 that needed a new ribbon cable. So I said sure why not.

Here is what I have:
Powerbook G4 867mhz with a chip on it blackend (See picture)

and the Powerbook G4 500mhz with what appears to be the same chip.

What do you think the odds are they will be close enough to the same to work?

I have a working DVI 800mhz thats fine but I would rather not use its chip as its worth more then the 500mhz G4
