i have a 15" g4 aluminum. yes the aluminum is a nice color, but i want something different now. ive done google searcing and searching on this site about how to do it. im confident in my painting, i have all of what i would need, but just want to ask how it is the speakers were colored over without cloging the holes up. i dont want to sit there and poke out each speaker hole with a pin or tiny circle file. also i would just like to know of any tips. ill be taking the entire thing apart so i dont screw anything up. the paint ill use is a fire red car paint, kind of like a dark candy apple. i will be shooting a coat of clear on it as well. there was a website i saw somewhere on here that would paint your powerbook for you and i just cant seem to find that page.
thanks,
S

Are you using spray cans? Or a spray gun? I'll tell you right now that cans will suck. If you use a spray gun, thin out the paint, and then it won't 'clog' the holes. Also, realize that if you do paint it, it will probably scratch and look like crap within a year. Make sure you prep it really really well too.

ill be using an airbrush. a ppretty good hobby air brush. i was thinking of using a car airbrush but that might be too big of a spray area and might spray a little too much paint.

Then simply thin out the paint.

dont forget that you will change the tolerances of your case depending on how many layers or primer, paint, clear coat etc. youll need to wet sand the edges that need to meet when putting the case back together or they wont fit the same.
