I'm new to modding mac's so please forgive this if it's dumb. Just wanted to know if a QS dual 1ghz will fit on a digital audio motherboard? Is it a drop in replacement if it does? Thanks.

The DA and QS were basically the same machine in different cases (same bus speed, etc), so i don't see why it wouldnt work.

That's what I was thinking. I suppose there is really only one way to find out, though. Thanks.

it can be done fairly easily. i have a 933 cpu in my 466 audio digital and it works fine. when you put the other cpu in you will end up with one mounting hole left over. this is where you will need to connect a 5 volt power (yellow) lead to. if you buy a molex extension lead you can plug this into a spare power lead and then cut the yellow one off the plug at the other end and connect it to the cpu using a nut and bolt through the spare mounting hole. everything including the L3 cache works fine
