So i have a clamshell iBook, the new lower half is to arrive thursday, Id like to remove the EMI shielding completely and paint the plastics on the inside... now with the EMI shielding gone will this affect anything?? im completely removing the EMI shielding from everything and then painting the plastics underneath and putting it backtogether without the EMI shielding.. I plan on using krylon fusion paint as it bonds well to plastics.

any insight as to why you're doing this? it's a well known fact that most machines will work better if you leave out a few parts while putting them back together.

how about some pictures when you're done. hard to imagine anything more unique than a clamshell even in its native state.
