so I removed the screen from my 5-year-old ibook and reattached it facing out, basically making it a tablet with no input. (see http://www.macmod.com/content/view/210/2/ for a much more refined version of what I did)
now I need some sort of input device, preferably wireless, to control it. I have a BT mouse, but I want something more versatile - media controls, brightness control, etc. Any suggestions? The only things I've come accross in searching are mice or trackballs with extra buttons, but nothing really jumped out at me.
The main use for this will be for browsing in random places, reading recepies and related info in the kitchen, and controlling iTunes, maybe some VNC

You could always check out an Apple wireless keyboard, which controls brightness and volume, etc. Not sure if that's what you're looking for though.
PS, awesome mod! I've seen that before in the past, and it's still impressive.

Actually I'm trying to do something similar to that with a Pismo or Lombard. How exactly did you attach the monitor to the plexiglas? I see the screws that go through the plexiglas but how do they attach to the monitor?

I'm not sure how the guy on macmod attached the plexiglass - I haven't gotten tht far yet. I was planning on using a picture frame, but haven't found one the right size (the iBook isn't the same size as any standard frame I've found - 11 1/4 " x 9 1/16 ". My thought was to have the frame glass over the screen with the frame around the bezel, and run a strap from the frame on either side around the back.

Thanks! I'll post pics when I'm done, but at the moment it just looks like a really broken iBook.
