See if you can get that mondo-imac monitor hooked to another source of input(PC/ Mac) and report back.

EyeTV Hybrid will input from S-Video and a few other sources. That's not a mod, but it would be nice to see some type of input option that you could switch the source for the screen. I'm not up to the task.

I'm with Goassamer, its not going to happen. Unless you can find a standalone monitor which uses the exact same panel. And then you would just end up with a headless iMac and a 24" monitor.

I'd be happy if you posted a tear-down of the inside of the 24" iMac.

Won't work yet. Somebody has tried on insanely mac, and the faster MXM cards work in windows, but not in OSX. It's the EFI boot process that's stopping them. Someone will figure out a workaround eventually.

YES. I want to know how the lag is. Is it noticeable? I would like to buy one to hook my PS2 and mabe a VCR on rare occasions.

No lag, it's a direct input - no encoding going on or anything.
