Hi-
I've heard of people using the DA logic bd inside of Quicksilver machines to replace a bad board... I know that the power supply in the DA machine is not the same as in the QS, and the connects are different. Does anyone know what needs to be modified to make this work?

Here's a link to one article:

I would love to put my DA in a QS case. I don't think it works.

Doesn't the QS have one more PCI slot then the DA?

Edit: No, they have the same.

This was a walk in the park...
Only differences are:
  • the DA does not use the 4 pin 12V connector plug that resides next to the main logic board Power Connector on the QS
  • There is no cpu fan power connector on the DA board

Since the 4-pin 12v plug is not being used on the DA board, I extended the power wires from the cpu fan and hard wired the fan to it. Works like a charm.

Cheers to all!!!! DS

instead of swapping parts into the QS case why not the other way round. i think all you would need is the front, top and back panels to replace the DA panels. the side panels are probably the same. once you take the handles and feet off those coves are pretty easy to get to and it would have to be easier than swapping internals forthe same result
