I am looking to have someone mod my PB and I would like a DVD/CD Burner added wtih a bigger hard drive if possible, I dont know if this is possible but someone to put a black insert into the apple logo, and add soft white backlit keyboard. If anyone is interested or knows of someone or a business that does this for a fee.

PowerBook ResQ offers drive replacement services.

But if you do it yourself, you will learn a lot and save yourself a decent amount of money. It's really not hard - you just need the right tools, a steady hand, and patience. Good luck!

Check out iFixit: iPod, iBook, & PowerBook Parts and Accessories. They have great step-by-step pictorial tutorials for modding your mac. The only things they don't cover are the changing of the colors on the keyboard and logo... but I think those should be in the archives; I've read that stuff here before.

You should be aware that if you do it yourself you will void the warranty.

This is true.

If your powerbook is still under warranty and you're interested in keeping that warranty intact, don't do anything to it yourself - anything other than adding an airport card and RAM voids the warranty.
